Just get it. In every moment there is a lot going on: our relationships, work, health, housework, finances, shopping, transportation, and on and on. There are always a lot of somethings going on, in a lot of different directions at once. In addition to this multidimensional unfolding of things going on, there is a certain speed-factor with which to contend. New somethings in new directions seem to develop at warp-speed. Everyone has noticed this collective revving up, and the resulting inner pressure and outer turmoil. There's a lot being written - from physics to psychology, biology, religion, spirituality, philosophy, mysticism, and metaphysics - about why this may be. But let's cut to the chase and talk about how to function with sanity and health in tact, and thrive in a dreams-coming-true sort of way. None of these are rocket science, but they will revolutionize your life. Don't wait for a break in the action, CREATE one. There will never be a break in the onslaught of events and tasks outside of you. You must choose to create a break for whatever time you need to get your bearings and recharge.for a moment or much longer, according to your sense of what you need. No one out there will grant you this, and no super-being will say, The world and its opportunities will stop now so that you can catch your breath. We are each individually responsible for creating our own breaks, from a 5-minute walk to a 3 year sabbatical. The Why? of taking a break looks like this: Your insanity contributes to the world's insanity and vise versa; you can only contribute to creative solutions from a position of strength; and, there is no way to notice what's not working, much less make a new choice, without taking a break. Notice what's NOT working for you, and stop doing it. There is no one else who can effectively tell you what to do to increase satisfaction for you. Only you can decide what doesn't work for you in your relationships, your schedule, your habits. Call whomever you need to and say, I've noticed that this is no longer working for me, so I will no longer be .(working here, paying your bills, volunteering here, flirting with you, living like this, relating this way, etc.) Notice what DOES work for you, and do more of it. Energy follows thought and is amplified in action. If something is working, notice it consciously and choose it more often. The positive effects will multiply. Experiment, and be willing to NOT KNOW if something is going to work. Try something you've always wanted to do. Introduce yourself to someone you've always wanted to meet. Accomplish a routine task in a new way. Learn something that enhances your functioning in a new arena. You will notice if each choice is working for you. Some won't, but guess what?
